Join us for our 4th Annual Facial Paralysis Awareness Walk on Sunday, Oct. 15th, in Long Beach, CA! Bring your family members and friends, along with your walking shoes, bikes and even pets, for an afternoon of fun!
We will begin at 1:00 p.m. with registration/welcome, and then depart at 1:30 p.m. for our walk. There will be two route options this year – a one-mile fun walk around the lighthouse, along with a two-mile walk/jog/bike around scenic Shoreline Village. We will then regroup at the park for ice cream from Long Beach Creamery, along with face painting, entertainment, speakers, a silent auction, and door prizes!
Special Guests: We have a variety of speakers who will share about facial paralysis issues, including Dr. Babak Azizzadeh, facial plastic surgeon; Jackie Diels, facial retraining expert; Dr. Faye Wachs, researcher on the social impact of facial paralysis; comedian Brian Apprille, Mary Jo Buttafuoco, and more!
Registration: There is a suggested donation of $25 per person or $45 per couple/family for the awareness walk (t-shirt and ice cream included). We will pre-order t-shirts in your requested size, if you indicate this on the registration form. Please visit our website to find out more details and to register www.facialparalysisfoundation.o
