Why is Holcomb Kreithen Plastic Surgery and Newsom Eye & Laser Center such a great fit?

The most exciting thing for all of us, and what makes HKPS a great fit with Newsom Eye, is that each of the doctors and specialists involved bring forth a tremendous amount of knowledge and a vast amount of hands-on experience that covers decades of patient care. HKPS has over 40 years of successful cosmetic surgery, laser and injectable experience in the Tampa Bay area, and worldwide for that matter. Newsom Eye is one of the top ophthalmology groups in Florida and they share our vision of offering only best-in-class services, leading edge technologies and total patient care.  We each bring well-established expertise in our respective fields which is of utmost benefit to all of our patients, as well as their family and friends.

What is most exciting about expanding into the South Tampa market?

The most exciting thing about the expansion is that HKPS will be able to better respond to local inquiries and needs much more effectively. We have seen an increased demand for cosmetic surgery procedures from Tampa Bay-area patients wanting to obtain high-quality facial and body treatments. We can now offer these patients access to our highly specialized care at convenient locations through a trusted, long-established local medical practice at Newsom Eye & Laser Center. We will be able to consult with and follow patients as well as provide various treatments in Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota and now South Tampa.

newsom-eyeWhat services will HKPS offer at Newsom Eye?

At HKPS we offer full service plastic surgery and medi-spa treatments for the face and body. Initially, medi-spa injectables will be available with Dr. Holcomb, Dr. Kreithen or Kathellen Feener, ARNP.  Laser treatments will remain available at the Sarasota location as our current laser center is a preferred destination for most patients, and surgical procedures will be available in Sarasota as well as in Tampa.

Why did you choose Newsom Eye & Laser Center as a partner for HKPS?

As mentioned earlier, we share a similar vision of high quality patient care and treatments. Dr. Newsom has long been considered one of the leading innovators in the field of ophthalmology. He specializes in Cataract and LASIK surgery, and Glaucoma. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and continues to bring a wealth of experience, awards, and research to the Newsom Eye practice. His invention of the Newsom Bladeless Laser Cataract Surgery technique has earned him international acclaim, and he has also been chosen to perform several FDA studies of new technology. HKPS has similar background in the aesthetic field. Both Drs. Holcomb and Kreithen are leaders, teachers and innovators who have published numerous papers and research studies to high acclaim. This combined level of superior medical expertise will bring added benefits to all of our patients for many years to come.

How do Sarasota and Tampa markets differ?

Sarasota is a more seasonal destination and with an older demographic, whereas Tampa is a more year-round and younger market.  Both of these areas are a perfect fit for HKPS as we offer cosmetic procedures for all age groups.

How will Holcomb Kreithen Plastic Surgery and Newsom Eye be able to cater to patients differently than other practices in the area?

This partnership is really about bringing forth our shared vision for a more comprehensive specialty plastic surgery practice into the Tampa market. With experienced board certified facial plastic and breast and body plastic surgeons added to a growing multi-specialty eye practice, the larger team can better address the diverse needs of both practice’s patients.

Where do you see this partnership going in 5-10 years? What are the goals of the partnership?

Both practices have a solid tenure of patient care, and we hope to continue our years over years record of solid growth that will enable us to bring more qualified staff and the latest in lasers and technology to South Tampa.

Holcomb Kreithen Plastic Surgery is renowned for its expertise in facial plastic surgery, plastic surgery of the breasts and body and cosmetic laser surgery.
